AWIS WATERMAIN TOOLS: Meter Pieces with Backflow Prevention

To reduce the probability of backflow during times of Emergency Water AWIS have developed a Meter Piece with Dual Checks, thus providing Backflow protection during times when the Water Supply System is Vulnerable.

One of our main problems with the domestic Water Supply System is that it is open to contamination.

Most new subdivisions now have two Water Supplies Potable and Recycled. We have to ensure that they are kept separate.

After the drought a lot of properties installed Rain Water tanks and these were connected to the property Water Service.

Already we have had reported cases where domestic supplies have been connected to recycled mains thus allowing contaminants to enter the potable Water Supply.

The use of Backflow devices on domestic properties will safeguard the purity of the Water Supply and reduce the introduction of Contaminants
